FAQ

Moving Companies USA FAQ

Q: Are we hiring people you employ?

A: No. We have found that we are better able to help our customers by providing them with access to movers who work in their area.

Q: So if we’re not hiring your employees, how does your site work?

A: We know that you want to hire movers who are not only going to be prompt, but also professional. That is why we scour the country looking for movers around the nation who meet our high quality standards. We then connect you, our client, with these already-screened movers so that you can rest comfortably knowing that the mover that you have hired is someone who is going to treat you right.

Q: How soon should we hire a mover?

A: Waiting too long to hire a mover may mean that you’re stuck with a sub-standard mover. It is best to book a mover as soon as you have some idea of when you’ll be moving. You may even be able to get a discount if you book far enough ahead and if you’re flexible about your moving date.

Q: Why shouldn’t I just move my things myself?

A: You’re absolutely entitled to move your belongings yourself, and if you’ve moved frequently you may already have the skills and experience necessary to make moving quick and easy. If, however, it’s been awhile since you’ve moved, you may want to look to professional movers to help you. Professional movers can streamline the moving process.

Q: What happens if the mover breaks something of mine?

A: Accidents happen, and while every high quality mover will do their utmost to ensure the safety of your belongings, something may get broken on accident during the move. That is why we always recommend that you get moving insurance, either through the moving company or through a separate company.

Q: Things got lost during the move! Help!

A: When you hire a professional moving company you can rest comfortably knowing that your belongings will be safe. If, however, you find that something has gotten lost the first thing you should do is to contact the moving company directly, as the sooner the company is contacted, the easier it is for them to help you to locate the missing item.

Q: My movers were rude and extremely late. Do I have any recourse?

A: This is why we screen all of our moving companies before we recommend them – so that our customers do not have to deal with rude or untimely movers. If you do experience rude or late movers, contact the owner of the company calmly and quickly. Explain the situation and ask them directly if there is anything they can do for you.
